If you were NOT sent home with a clear patch on your tattoo:

Using your fingertips, wash your tattoo 1-2 times a day with antibacterial soap with water as hot as reasonably possible.

Pat the tattoo dry.

When it starts to peel, you may use a DIME-sized amount of unscented lotion on it 1 time a day. Please make sure to thoroughly rub the lotion in.

Keep the tattoo out of direct sunlight and do not submerge it in water for 2 weeks.

Do not use any ointments (i.e., Aquaphor, Desitin, Neosporin, etc.)

If you were sent home WITH a clear patch over your tattoo:

Leave the patch on for 4-7 days. 7 days is preferable.

You will mostly likely have some variation of fluid collection containing one or all of these: blood, plasma, and ink. This is perfectly normal. I have attached reference pictures at the bottom as to what to expect. You may also notice a slight odor coming from it; this is also perfectly normal.

When you are ready to take it off, please do so in the shower. Starting at the top, peel the film down (do not pull outwards).

Proceed to wash the tattoo using your fingertips and antibacterial soap in water that is as hot as reasonably possibly.

Pat the tattoo dry.

You may use a DIME-sized amount of unscented lotion on it 1 time a day. Please make sure to thoroughly rub it in.

Do not use any ointments (i.e. Aquaphor, Desitin, Neosporin, etc.)

Touch Up Policy

You may receive a complimentary touch-up for your tattoo, *at artist discretion, within 6 months from the date you receive the tattoo. Touch-ups are by appointment only on Wednesdays and Thursdays. If it has been longer than 6 months and you would like a touch-up, a $50 set-up free is required.

Touch-ups for feet and hand tattoos will always require a fee, and will be dependent upon what needs to be done.

*Complimentary touch-ups will be provided only when healing protocols are followed (yes, we can tell). If there has been any picking, sun or water exposure, any ointments (other than unscented lotion following saniderm removal), then a $50 set-up fee will be required.

Cover Up Information

Sometimes our tattoos don’t turn out like we hoped they would. Sometimes we simply outgrow a design. Whatever your case may be, you are here because you no longer love a tattoo you have, and you want something new in its place.

What we need from you:

To get started, we will need 2 pictures of the existing tattoo. One should be closer up, one farther away (showing the full area around the tattoo). Please take pictures in a well-lit area. It is best to have someone take the pictures, as we will need them as straight and clear as possible. Send over any reference pictures you have for the tattoo you are wanting. Please be as clear and concise as possible with explaining what you would like done.

What to expect from your consultation:

We will do our best to accommodate your request; however, we are not working with a blank canvas. Therefore, not everything is possible. Here are some important things to keep in mind: cover-up designs must be larger than the original tattoo by up to a few inches around. This is necessary for the design to mask the existing tattoo. Please stay realistic and flexible with your expectations. A polar bear will not cover up tribal; a yellow flower will not cover up black script. It’s simply science and out of our hands at that point. The darker and more solid the original tattoo is, the more flexible with the new design you need to be. Cover-ups are complex and often require 2-3 sessions to fully mask the old tattoo. For example, sessions may be comprised of 1 session for blacks, 1 session for shading or coloring, 1 session for a final pass, or 1 session for the full tattoo, and then 1 for a second pass to make sure everything is fully covered. We do not give price quotes on cover-ups, and they are strictly by our shop rate of $120 per hour. Our artists are truly fantastic at cover-ups, but the final product is heavily dependent on your flexibility and commitment. Please feel free to contact us with any further questions or to get started with the booking process.
